The strong RF signal cancellation based on LMS adaptive filtering algorithm

Abstract

As the strong Radio Frequency (RF) signal is harmful for the signal receiving device, it is very important to cancel the strong RF signal before it is received by the device. According to the principle that any signal can be composed by two orthorhombic signals, this paper proposes a strong RF signal cancellation algorithm based on the Least Mean Square (LMS) adaptive filtering algorithm. The proposed algorithm works on the analog circuit, it could cancel the strong RF signal at the radio front end. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can cancel the strong RF signal effectively. Moreover, the proposed algorithm has no strict requirement on the circuit design and is easy to be realized.
