Transformation of regional distribution centers: cases of Korean RDCs developing into multi-purpose hub

Abstract

This paper identifies underlying causes of low level of invigoration for RDCs, analyzes effects of recent logistics environment changes on RDCs, studies cases of successful logistics hub facilities for benchmarking analysis, and develops multi-purpose hub models and improvement options for RDCs experiencing difficulties in securing sufficient cargo volume.
