Abstract

A miniature modified antenna is proposed for K-band application. The proposed antenna has the compact dimensions of 16 x 17 x 1.6 mm3. It is composed of a modified circular patch radiating element and a coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed. A wide impedance bandwidth of 7.9 GHz from 14.7 GHz to 22.6 GHz with return loss less than -10dB is obtained. Nearly stable radiation pattern and a peak gain of 7dB is observed from the simulation.
