Scalable IP-over-WDM networks, based on optical ring architecture for regional area application

Abstract

We have proposed and examined scalable IP-over-WDM networks, together with the suitable routing protocols in the optical ring configurations. The network was constructed and the characteristics were evaluated, clarifying that the network had the expected properties.
