ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPACT OF THE PROCEDURE OF CHANGING THE WIDTH OF MEASURING DATA ON THE EFFICIENCY OF THEIR COMPRESSION

Abstract

The paper examines the procedure of data preprocessing before compression, which involves enforced change of the original data width. The influence of such a procedure on the compression efficiency is estimated, the results of the study are presented, that show good perspectives of the proposed ap-proach.
