Abstract
The analysis and interpretation of the blocks-world scenes by means of the Haar (1910) pyramid are addressed. The Haar pyramid is defined. The original reduction procedure of the number of Haar components required for the scene analysis, is described. The experimental results of the reduction procedure applied to simple scenes are given. The results are compared on the basis of an objective criterion, the normalized mean-square error, and of a subjective criterion to the results of the thresholding method.<>
