Research on Distribution of Sink Nodes in Wireless Sensor Network

Abstract

A distribution plan for multi sink nodes, on the basis of P-Median Problem (PMP) has been put forward on the research of sink nodes distribution in wireless sensor network (WSN). This plan can gain the optimum location set for sink nodes. At this level, application of Heuristic Algorithm can create a kind of WSN distribution and its simulation result indicates that this plan can effectively reduce overall energy consumption in WSN, improve the efficiency of network service and extend lifetime of the network.
