“GUIA DE FONTES SOBRE SAÚDE PÚBLICA NA PRIMEIRA REPÚBLICA: ARQUIVOS INSTITUCIONAIS, PESSOAIS E COLEÇÕES NA CIDADE DO RIO DE JANEIRO”: REFLEXÕES SOBRE O ACESSO AO PATRIMÔNIO DOCUMENTAL

Abstract

This work aims to present a documentary sources guide on public health in the First Brazilian Republic, combining in a single finding aid a significant part of the documentary heritage on this subject and thus providing access and preservation of this documentation in the form of registration of its information. To this goal, it intends to discuss the pertinence of the proposed thematic and temporal clipping for the guide, to study the importance of the finding aids that Archival Science traditionally uses in its methodological processes and to investigate more precisely the functionality of such a guide, a documentary selection and its relations with broader actions to protect the national documentary heritage.
