Abstract

Device-to-Device (D2D) communication brings significant benefits to spectrum utilization, increasing throughput of the system and extending the coverage of cellular networks, it also causes interference to the cellular networks as a result of spectrum sharing. In this paper, energy efficiency is considered as the optimization objective since the devices are handheld equipment with limited battery life. Power control for D2D user transmitting terminal is presented to reduce system power consumption and match the appropriate resource packages.
