Abstract
Literary museum-reserves and manor museums are considered in this article to be the basis for creating landmark sites, thanks to which literary landscapes are preserved and reconstructed. It is important to preserve not only the manor complexes where writers lived and worked, but also the territories surrounding the manor houses. Estates and surrounding farmsteads, household items, natural landscapes, local toponymy, history of the place of residence – all this was relevant to the writers since their childhood, was preserved in their memory and had a significant influence on their work and the peculiarities of their image system. As literary landscapes are also considered museum-like manors, which were once cultural centres with theatres and musicians, where neighbours, writers and cultural figures came together.
