Abstract

At present, the state policy in relation to the forestry sector is aimed at its development, modernization and attraction of investments. Automobile transport is most often used for transporting materials over a distance of up to 300 km. The main expense item for transportation is fuel. Its consumption is influenced by the mass of the transport-winter cargo. Wood has a moisture index that varies. If conditions are created to reduce it in the cutting area, it is possible to increase the lifting capacity and reduce fuel consumption.
