Abstract
We propose a phase-only modulation-based spiral waveguide Bragg grating (WBG) design for the implementation of a fully-passive and linear NOT gate. In experiments, we demonstrate inversion of a 50-Gbps NRZ-OOK data stream using a spiral WBG with an ultra-compact footprint of 0.25 mm2.
