Beginning with a justification of basics BBO, we study the family of Biogeography-based optimization algorithms and talk over with another BBO modifications, hybridizations, applications in science and engineering, and computative theory. Abstract

Biogeography based optimization is an evolutionary algorithm which is inspired by the migration of species between habitats. BBO is an optimizing method produced by Dan Simon in 2008. BBO has successfully solved optimization problems in many different domains and has reached a relatively mature state. This survey paper is to abbreviate and classify, the literature correlated to the previous years of this optimizing researches. Beginning with a justification of basics BBO, we study the family of Biogeography-based optimization algorithms and talk over with another BBO modifications, hybridizations, applications in science and engineering, and computative theory.
