Hard Times in Little City: A Case Study

Abstract

Dr. Johnson, Superintendent of the Little City School District, had the weight of the world on his shoulders as he sat looking out the window of his office. He wondered what to do next. His desk was piled with mail and his phone had rung almost constantly for the last three days – ever since "the incident." His days were always busy and he liked the pace. Generally, he enjoyed his job. Dr. Johnson had learned a lot since assuming the superintendency four years ago. Now, he wondered whether it was all worth it. He had many decisions to make before tonight's emergency school board meeting and he wasn't quite sure what he was going to say or what he was going to do.
