TRANSFORMATION OF PARADIGM IN CONTEST FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF KYIV CITY CENTER IN THE 1930–1940s

Abstract

. The main tendencies of transformation of the city's architectural and artistic field in connection with social and political changes caused by the World War II have been explored on the example of two key contests for the development of Kyiv city center (Government quarter in 1934–1935 and Khreshchatyk in 1944).
