Abstract
This paper reviews studies on the effect of ultrawideband wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) (e.g., interchannel stimulated Raman scattering and optical amplification technique) on optical transmission systems. We also introduce ultra-wideband WDM transmission results for over 100-Tb/s system capacities.
