Abstract

Web service is a service-oriented architecture which can achieve real platform-independent and language-independent. Ontology is a formal representation of the knowledge by a set of concepts within a domain and the relationships between those concepts. In this paper, we analyzed the key technologies and architecture of Web services and discus one such approach that involves adding semantics to WSDL and UDDI using OWL ontologies in order to describe and discover Web Services accurately for us. Based on some problems of current Web-based Learning system, we propose Integration Framework of Web-based Learning System Based on Web services, Ontology and Web Widget(IFWBLS-WSOW) and give out an prototype realized by Microsoft.NET platform.
