Abstract

Alfredo Güemes, full Professor of Material Science and Director of the Aerospace Materials & Processes Department at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and CoChairman of the Stanford International Workshops on SHM since 1997, has led three research projects on Fiber Optic Sensors, sponsored by the European Commission and ESA. He has authored 14 papers on these topics and given more than 50 communications to international conferences.
