Abstract

To study the current dlstributlon inslde the human thorax for defibrillation shock, a complete human thorax model with detailed cardiac anatomy was constructed using CT Images. Twenty seven tlssues or organs were Menttfled by two dlmensbnal (2D) contours. Three dlmensional solids of the organs were reconstructed from these 2D contours using a solid modeling software tool. The electrode systems can be placed lnto the solid model of human thorax and the whole system can then be meshed into tetrahedrons using the Delauney Tessellation.
