Abstract

We present a new method of topological optimization, based on the computation of a gradient type information. The topological asymptotic gives the sensitivity of an optimization criterion to add or remove a small part of metal inside a structure. Application of this method to the optimization of antenna waveguide feeds allows to determine new solutions for the optimum shape of a component.
