Abstract

The goal of this article is to show the design and analysis of a planar monopole initially designed to meet applications WLAN and 4G. It was applied to the Minkowski fractal curve for the modification of the dimensions of the monopole, where it was possible to obtain a third resonance frequency. Finally, modifications were applied on the ground plane to increase the bandwidth of the frequencies studied. The frequencies for calculating the superior and inferior cut of the bandwidth were obtained at - 10 dB. The commercial software CST MICROWAVE STUDIO was used to calculate the properties of the antenna.
