ALEXANDER PUSHKIN AT A RENDEZ-VOUS

Abstract

The article raises the problem of studying Pushkin’s private life in relation to the mental and behavioral stereotypes of his era. It seems that this is the only way for us to responsibly assess the actions and judgments of a historical person. With this idea in mind, the article examines Pushkin’s relationships with women, which were defi ned both by the etiquette norms and his personality. General problems are revealed through the analysis of specifi c biographical stories.
