Abstract

Circularly polarized (CP) conical radiation is formed using a metaspiral antenna made of c-type metaatoms. Electric current band theory predicts that the rotational sense of CP conical radiation will become left-handed at a low frequency of fN and right-handed at a high frequency of fH. The prediction is confirmed by simulation results obtained using an electromagnetic field solver based on the finite element method.
