Permutation Polynomials from two piecewise functions*

Abstract

Permutation polynomials are an interesting subject of mathematics and have applications in other areas of mathematics and engineering. In this paper, we present two classes of explicit permutation polynomials over $\mathbb{F}_q$ from two piecewise functions.
