Abstract

Modulation and switching of light waves in Yttrium iron garnet (YIG)–Gadolinium gallium garnet (GGG) waveguides using Farady rotation(1), and light propagation and mode-conversion in a thin-film dielectric waveguide using magnetooptic YIG substrate(2,3) had been studied in detail.
