Freeze-dried samples or removal-oil showed that phycobiliproteins aren't affected by increasing or decreasing the sonication period. The study showed that it’s possible to use different media for pigments extraction as buffers and acetate buffer has been mastered. The freezing-thawing method is the best compared with other methods, the concentration of phycoerythrin (PE) pigments began to increase gradually from 6-12 days at PC and PE pigments extract, respectively. Abstract
