Abstract

The larva and pupa of Thienemannimyia barberi (Coquillett) are described and compared with other known Thienemannimyia immatures and those of the closely related Conchapelopia (Meropelopia) species. Some ecological data are given and the group placement of T. barberi is discussed. The pupa described as Conchapelopia sp. in Roback (1981) belongs to this species.
