Treasures of the Snow

Abstract

A recent survey of the Sneeuberg mountain complex in the Eastern Cape province (see reading list below) gave us an opportunity to document the flora of this extraordinary region. The Sneeuberg mountain complex is one of the most prominent sections of the Great Escarpment, being delimited in the east by the Great Fish River valley, in the west by the Nelspoort Interval, to the south by the Plains of Camdeboo and to the north by the Great Karoo pediplain.
