A Study on the Activation of Cross Border E-Commerce Logistics Cluster

Abstract

Purpose : Korea has the fifth largest e-commerce market in the world owing to its high consumption and Internet penetration, but policies and research to revitalize cross-border e-commerce are insufficient. This study derives measures and major tasks to revitalize cross-border e-commerce logistics clusters in Korea. Research design, data, and methodology : In order to investigate policy conditions and problems in the cross-border e-commerce industry in Korea, an expert group is formed, and the Delphi technique is used to identify conditions and derive problems through repeated investigations. In order to establish a cross-border e-commerce logistics cluster-construction roadmap in Korea, based on a survey by a group of experts using the Delphi technique, factors for each strategy are derived, and specific, detailed strategies are sought through AHP analysis. Results and Conclusions : Analysis found that in order to create a cross-border e-commerce logistics cluster in Korea, the e-commerce industry should be revitalized, the industry should be expanded in connection with related industries, and practical support should be provided to develop the industry through improvement of the support system.
