Remote synchronization of mode-locked fiber lasers

Abstract

Using an intra-cavity electro-optic modulator and PZT we stabilize the repetition frequency of a fiber laser to a high-stability RF reference that is transmitted over a fiber network via optical pulses from a remote laser.
