Many cultural centers have become brands — Optina monastery as one of the spiritual centers of Russia, “Ugra” National Park, the ensemble of Gostiny Dvor in Kaluga, a number of Russian manors, including the estate of Goncharov, and many others. In spite of this, many objects remain in oblivion and many are lost rapidly. The loss is most evident in small towns and rural settlements of the region.
