This work inscribes a case study for designing a highly robust controller for the depth of anesthesia (DoA) motivated by means of the drug Propofol. The H∞ loop-shaping technique is utilized to layout the controller design for Propofol dosing using Bispectral Index (BIS) model. The veracity of the proposed method is proved by numerical simulations. Moreover, the proposed method can attain the design requirements and have a fully tracking performance. In addition to the advantages of loop shaping method, the easy realization is considered as another advantage of loop shaping.
