The veracity of the proposed method is proved by numerical simulations. Moreover, the proposed method can attain the design requirements and have a fully tracking performance. In addition to the advantages of loop shaping method, the easy realization is considered as another advantage of loop shaping. Abstract

Robustness is the capability of a designed control system to preserve its stability and effectiveness in different conditions. This work inscribes a case study for designing a highly robust controller for the depth of anesthesia (DoA) motivated by means of the drug Propofol. The H∞ loop-shaping technique is utilized to layout the controller design for Propofol dosing using Bispectral Index (BIS) model.
