Abstract
This paper describes the technological aspects of the AT&T Teaching Theater at the University of Maryland at College Park. These can be separated into four categories: computers, networks, audio/video, and control. All electronic equipment in the Teaching Theater is interconnected: the computers form a local-area-network which is also attached to the Campus network; the computer monitors, keyboards, and mice are interconnected via a signal-switching system; all A/V devices are connected to a video signal switcher which is connected to the computers and to the Campus video cable system; and the control system permits convenient operation of the computers, A/V, and room lighting.
