A framework for generating ICT word lists

Abstract

Some word lists have been generated with various purposes to meet the target goals market and serve needs. This research proposes the framework for analyzing high frequency of words to create a word list for academic purposes, especially in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). All resource words in this research are collected from journal articles in ICT. To evaluate the performance of this framework, the created word list from the framework is compared to other existing word lists. The results of this study are beneficial, but not limited, to ICT students, English language students, English language instructors, and ICT instructors.
