Abstract

The TCP congestion control plus RED queue management can be modeled as a discrete-time dynamical system, which can create complex bifurcating and chaotic behavior. Based on the model, we propose a time-dependent delayed feedback control method for controlling chaos in Internet congestion control system, and an adaptive parameter-tuning algorithms are proposed. Numerical examples show that the average queue length in the buffer of the router can be stabilized at the fixed point in the originally system.
