Abstract
Discusses fuzzy logic and software development in Switzerland, from a strictly entrepreneurial point of view. Ideas tend to progress from philosophy to religion, from there to technology, and if there is a customer benefit, they will make it into business. In Switzerland, the jury is still out on what fuzzy logic really is, but we do have a quiet and persistent way to go about its business, especially since we know that our friends from Japan are doing exactly that. I like to split the activities that I watch happening and sometimes take an active part in, into "me-too fuzzy logic" and various selected fuzzy logic projects: medical applications; management decision support applications; sound-based quality control; and image processing based quality control. At the end of the paper, I speculate on some coming products that I believe in and their impact on the way we look at learning and computing.<>
