Abstract

Since 2004 till today is common to use WPA2 which replaced the broken WPA for WLAN security. WPA replaced WEP in 2003, due to this first security protocol was broken. The WLAN security problem is WPA was broken in 2017, but there is no a WPA3, it is under development, meanwhile people is looking for security on their WLAN. This work offers proven recommendations when hardening is applied based on an analysis for a test scenario. Results show WLAN security is strengthened when implementing hardening.
