Abstract

This paper reviews the wireless communications roadmap, and discusses the trends of wireless communications, including: Higher and Higher Data Rates, Ubiquity of Wireless Devices, Smart Antennas, Faster, Smaller, Cheaper Hardware, Frequency Congestion, and Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output Systems. Finally, this paper discusses the 4G wireless evolution.
