Gobernanza de la prevención social de la violencia y la delincuencia: El caso de Nuevo León

Abstract

: This text analyses the processes of governance pertaining the programs for socio-economic crime and violence prevention for the case of Nuevo Leon. The text incorporates a discussion regarding the main actors involved in those processes, the deliberative mechanisms for decision-making, the interaction between policy analysis and policy sciences on this topic and the legal framework involved. The text highlights the complexity of governance regarding socio-economic crime prevention in the Mexican context. The text also highlights the insufficiency of government for responding to the challenges of crime and violence in the Mexican context.
