Abstract
The most important and socially critical measure of the energy balance of India is the total consumption of 1,137.00 billion kWh of electric energy per year. Many institutions have seen an exponential growth in the amount of energy several countries consume year-on-year, as the populations grow. An electricity meter or energy meter is a common device found in nearly every household that measures the amount of electric energy consumed by a residence, or a business. However, individual devices working for a long duration are also without proper over watch are key to the rise in increased energy consumption. The system under study is to measure voltage, current, apparent & real power, power factor, and energy and provides an interactive interface to accommodate all these measurements on the cloud using IoT. It also provides the advantage of acting as a plug and play device with easy portability for both commercial and research purposes.
