Abstract

This is the first newsletter after SC18 and this issue recaps highlights from SIGHPC's flagship event. Among the many great activities was that Dhairya Malhotra received the inaugural ACM SIGHPC Dissertation award. (Dhairya also guest-writes this issue's recommended reading column.) For the 2019 Dissertation Award, the deadline to nominate someone is February 28th.
