But for the Data Center managers and operators selecting the right UPS for deployment can be a difficult proposition. Therefore this paper aims to provide a clearer understanding of key factors and considerations involved in selecting the right UPS system in terms of efficiency and cost. In order to clear these concerns a comparison made between Double Conversion Online UPS and Flywheel UPS system in a model of a medium size Data Center designed to provide 1500kW of cooling capacity to the Data Halls and hence support 1500kW of IT load.
