PROFILE: Commercialization in the U.S. Department of Agriculture

Abstract

In the United States, federal research laboratories are housed in most cabinet-level departments. Examples include the National Labs (Department of Energy), the National Institutes of Health (Health and Human Services), and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (Commerce). These units report annually to Congress concerning their technology transfer initiatives.
