SLAmeter - The evaluator of network traffic parameters

Abstract

This paper introduces the SLAmeter network metering tool, which constitutes an alternative solution to the network traffic monitoring tools based on the IPFIX protocol. The main purpose of the SLAmeter is to offer a reliable possibility to track and fulfill the conditions specified in the Service Level Agreement subscribed between the subscriber and provider. SLAmeter was designed with the extension of the BasicMeter tool and consists of several components on different layers.
