This economic problem is especially acute for such major components of natural resources as land, forest resources, mineral deposits, water resources, wildlife, which people use in the production of various goods and without which economic activity is impossible. The planning, construction and operation of roads should be carried out in accordance with environmental standards, and the standards themselves should minimize the impact of road networks on the environment. The high level of concentration of heavy industry, unreasonable scale of land reclamation, environmental voluntarism in the development and location of productive forces and the financing of environmental measures on a residual basis lead to an ecological crisis. The effects of economic activity have led to the pollution of vital resources and the degradation of the environment. This article identifies the nature and extent of the main types of environmental impacts during the overhaul of the facility and its subsequent operation. Measures to prevent negative impact on the environment, such as: rational use of land and natural resources, protection of atmospheric air. Ways and means of normalization of the state of the environment, the main source of which on the highway are directly vehicles and road vehicles are considered. The amount of harmful emissions and the distance of their spread varies depending on the intensity and composition of traffic, road, natural and climatic conditions. In the process of existing potential types of environmental impacts is the impact on ambient air. On the geological environment, microclimate, aquatic environment, soil, flora and fauna.
