Abstract
A compact microstrip Yagi antenna is proposed based on the half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) technology. The HMSIW is used to work as the driven element and the magnetic wall is introduced to realize the elements miniaturization of Yagi antenna. Simulated results shows that the total area of the Yagi antenna is 1.82λ×0.57λ and the peak gain is about 6.0~7.9 dBi in the 10.5% relative bandwidth.
