The objectives of the study were to assess the level of attitude towards nursing profession among rural people and to find the association between the level of attitude towards nursing profession with selected socio demographic variables. Total enumerative sampling technique was used. A self-structured 5-point Likert scale was used to assess the level of attitude towards nursing profession. The reliability of the tool was 0.72. The results showed that 68.7% of the rural people had positive attitude and 31.3% had neutral attitude and 0% had negative attitude towards nursing profession. None of the socio demographic variables were associated with the level of attitude towards nursing profession.
