The Future of Virtual Reality in Education

Abstract

For the last few years, even decades, we have been hearing about the exciting possibilities and, in some cases the actuality of Virtual Reality (VR). There are many examples in the entertainment industry but what about education? This paper provides a brief history of VR and considers some of the possible uses in some of the various fields of education, including uses in science and training.
