Relative Kinematics of Multibody Contacts

Abstract

Unilateral contact problems in multibody dynamics axe always accompanied by problems of relative kinematics of the contacting bodies. A general approach for plane and spatial contacts is presented based on a parametric representation of the body contours and on rules of differential geometry. Practical examples illustrate the methods.
