Abstract

Stuart R. Lessin M.D. is an investigative dermatologist with a research and clinical interest in cutaneous oncology. He has investigated the etiologic role of oncogenic viruses in cutaneous T cell lymphoma (CTCL) and the molecular mechanisms underlying oncogene and tumor suppressor gene expression in development and tumor progression of CTCL. He has developed techniques for the molecular diagnosis of lymphoproliferative skin diseases based on Tcell receptor (TCR) gene expression.
